The project aims at the rehabilitation and extension of a building located on Rua Garrett, in Chiado, Lisbon. The building was constructed at a later stage of the Pombaline reconstruction campaign, built in 1787, and consists of 7 floors above ground and a small basement, with retail use on the lower floors and residential use from the 2nd floor upwards.
The intervention foresees the construction of three underground floors, with the complete suspension of the building, its structural reinforcement, and full rehabilitation, while preserving all identified heritage elements of value. Floors -3 to 1 will be allocated to retail, and floors 2 to 6 to residential use.
