For six years, this iconic mansion, the beautiful Quinta do Mineiro, in Lisbon, was the home of Rockbuilding's office. The space was the subject of a careful rehabilitation project, whose main objective was to preserve the original layout of the building and the historical identity of the place, while at the same time adapting it to the needs of a contemporary office.
The intervention retained the most striking architectural elements, valuing the character and glamor of the palace, while introducing functional and comfortable solutions for everyday work. The design project, developed with the support of the Open Book studio, breathed new life into the building, creating several large, well-organized rooms flooded with natural light.
As with other fit-out interventions, the project sought to balance memory and modernity, where past and present coexist in harmony, resulting in a unique, elegant and fully functional space for office activity.
